ABNORMALITY OF HUMAN NATURE

The origin of human life is mysterious as well as it is end, nobody knows the truth of this mystery, though there many religions and the scientists who tried and who are trying to give the reasonable explanations, but even though nobody got the truth of such mysteries of the beginning of human life as well as the mystery of death.
In 2002 and 2003 it happened in one of the Mozambican province to be affected by cholera, a disease which provokes heave or vomiting and diarrhea. Many people died from that disease, in north of Mozambique, in Cabo Delgado province, mainly in districts of Mocimboa da Praia, and Muidumbe. In those years it was normal to hear that within a day died more than forty people in such districts. The situation became most complicated for the people who were living in farms, due to the use of stagnate water; again there were no hospitals in the farms. At bank of Messalo river is one of productive areas where many farmers live, up to now; and that is one of areas where many people died from such a disease. Later, it spread up to Rovuma River which makes a border between Mozambique and Tanzania. As disease extended to several areas of Cabo Delgado province, also the number of people who died from such disease increased. In villages which had no hospitals whenever a person could be affected with such disease the only hope was to die and if a case of survival was just by chance or luck.
Mbau one of the villages of Mocimboa da Praia district in eastern part of Mozambique is one of the villages which great number of people died from cholera, the natives as well as the people from neighboring villages which had no hospitals. Mbau village has a title of posto administrativo and due to this title, which is close to the level of being district; Mbau had a chance of having a small hospital, which helps the neighboring villages such as Limala, Nakitengue, Chinda, Marere, and Kalugu.
Back to the issue of abnormality of human nature it happened that, from the people who were brought to Mbau hospital, from the neighboring villages in order to receive treatment; one of them from Limala village, died from cholera within Mbau hospital. As usual the family of the dead person organized themselves in order to take the body back to Limala village where they came from. Due to lack of transports and other conditions that are necessary for keeping the dead people, they use the traditional means in order to protect the bodies from getting spoiled; they do not put the body within the coffin during the burial due to the lack of conditions or poverty. The family bought a white sheet in order to cover the body and after that to be put on the bed and to be taken through the bed to Limala village. So the mysterious thing happened on the way to Limala village, the people who took the body started to move from Mbau village to Limala, but they could not make it; whenever they tried to walk a way with body from Mbau hospital to Limala village they could see themselves coming from Limala village and going back to Mbau village where they had left with body. They could not believe such mysterious incident, so they tried for several times in order to see if they could succeed in taking the body to Limala village, but even though they could not succeed in realizing their aim of taking the body to Limala for whenever they could try to walk a way could see themselves coming from where they intend to go, and going where they intend to leave. After many trials they came to understand that there was spiritual power of the dead body which could not allow them to take the body to Limala village. So they decided to take the body to one of the Mbau village’s burial ground, and they saw that there was no any complication to such decision, then the body was taken easily to the cemetery, and the burial was realized successful. Again it made people to understand that actually there was spiritual power of the body which was not in favor of realization of the burial in Limala village. It gave me a vision that in human nature, the spiritual power is very strong and powerful than any physical power; for I imagined many people who tried to take the body for several times to Limala village for the burial, but they could not make it due to spiritual power that impeded them. Again they could not understand what was the obstacle, which impeded them to take the body to Limala village for the burial; the goodness is that people could see themselves going to Limala village but at the end they could find themselves coming back to Mbau village without realizing what made them to be back to Mbau village the place where they aimed to leave. I realize that the incidents of this nature are the ones which fortify the spirit of religiosity in human convictions, though in many cases people do not use religion as a way of giving the reasonable explanations of such mysterious issues.
In relation to this, in 1997 it happened a very mysterious episode in one of the Mbau villages. There was a man called Ntchwaw (means John in Makonde mother tongue) he was a Mapiko dancer; Mapiko is a typical and traditional dance of Makonde people or tribe. So the man became sick suddenly; the problem which led to the end of his life. After his death, passed just a week and it happened that his uncle went to check out his traps of gazelle, wild goats and wild pigs and other animals. So when he arrived in bush where he had made his traps, he found Ntchwaw caught in one of his traps, but he appeared all body as a pig with exception of his face which was really human and specifically of Ntchwaw whom he new as his uncle who passed a way one week ago. The man was astonished, without any vision, he came back to home very weak consult people for the reasonable explanations but even though he did not find any reasonable explanation of the incident. So these kind of incidents do not have a reasonable explanations in relation to their root, they remain as puzzle to human reason. However, they help us to understand that in human beings the spiritual power is very strong them any physical power that exists in this universe. Since my childhood I have been told many incidents of such nature but I did not believe, but these two I came to believe because they made a part of my experience, that’s why I decided to share with you my dear readers who are interested in mysteries of human nature.
